Where is Deeside Gymnastics Academy?Deeside gymnastics academy is NO LONGER located at Deeside Leisure centre. We now have a brand new facility on the Aviation park at Airbus in Broughton. Go to our contact page to find out more info about where we are.

Do i have to book on to the class in advance?Yes. You must pre book you place on our classes. If you turn up to any of our classes without booking you will not be allowed into the class. Go to our 'book online' section to book you class now.

How much do the classes cost?You can find the prices for our classes by going to our book online page.

How do i pay for the classes?We no longer do pay as you go classes. You must pay your fee in advance when you book your class online.

What should the gymnast wear for the class?Gymnasts should wear sporty clothing that is comfortable, stretchy and suitble for gymnastics. Suitable clothing includes, a leotard, leggings, shorts, t-shirt. All jewellery must be removed before the class and please make sure hair is tied up neatly.

Do gymnasts need to bring anything to the class?Make sure they bring a drink along with them to keep them hydrated throughout the session.

How long do classes last?All of our recreational classes last one hour.

Where do i go for the start of the class?You will see a sign for Deeside Gymnastics Academy outside our unit. The entrance is located to left of the roller shutter. Wait in the waiting area until the coach comes to collect the children for their class. From there the coaches will show the children what to do.

Can parents/guardians stay to watch the class?Yes we have viewing area for parents/guardians who wish to stay and watch their child's class

How old do children have to be to start classes?In our nursery and reception classes we will take as young as 3 years old as long as they are potty trained. Please check our timetable for the ages of any other classes.

Do i have to pay a membership fee?You will have to register online to become a member of British Gymnastics. You will be given information about at you class or via email. If you fail to register your child when asked they will not be allowed to attend the classes as they are not insured. You can register on the British Gymnastics website.

Are your coaches qualified and DBS checked?All of our coaches are fully qualfied, DBS checked and hold safe guarding and protecting children certificates. A number of our coaches are also first aid qualified. We also have multiple welfare officers within the gym.

How do you assess when children are ready to move into a different class?If the coaches believe that a gymnast has achieved all the required skills and is ready to move into a different class then the coach will speak with the parent/guardian at the end of the session and they will be invited to appropriate class.
